I am a writer and independent arts and culture critic, editor, copywriter, and literary and arts events producer based in London.

I am Deputy Editor at Wasafiri and a contributing editor and writer at the South Asian Avant-Garde Anthology. Previously, I was a founding editor-in-chief of Postscript Magazine, a global, online, independent literary-arts publication based in the UAE, for five years.

My primary interests include cosmopolitanism, migration, postcolonial feminism, diasporic narratives and relationships to the nation-state, and intersections of all of the above within visual art, literature, and film. Due to my own background, I prioritise covering creative practices from the Global South, particularly the South Asian, SWANA, and southern African regions. I also publish creative work, largely life writing, poetry, and hybrids of these forms. I was the first writer-in-residence at Bayt al Mamzar in Dubai and I’ve previously spoken about my practice here, for the Khosh Bosh podcast.

As a critic, I write about visual art and books (contemporary fiction, poetry, and nonfiction) well as general cultural criticism. I also have copywriting and editorial experience for social media, luxury hotels and brands, commercial publishing projects, and visual arts PR.

My arts reporting and coverage of shows and exhibitions spans the following cities:
Abu Dhabi, Arles, Basel, Berlin, Dubai, Dublin, Edinburgh, Istanbul, Kochi, London, Metz, Mumbai, Nîmes, Oxford, Paris, Rhein, Sharjah, Tilburg, Turin, Vienna, West Palm Beach, and Winterthur.

I am open for writing commissions or collaboration opportunities.
