Vamika Sinha

I am an independent arts and culture journalist, editor, and copywriter based in London. I also work at the visual arts PR agency Pelham Communications, working on cultural communications and strategy for art industry clients. I am currently a senior editor and columnist at the South Asian Avant-Garde Anthology.

I was previously the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Postscript Magazine, a global, online, independent literary-arts publication based in the UAE, for five years.

I hold a B.A. Hons. in Literature & Creative Writing from NYU Abu Dhabi and an MA in Comparative Literature from SOAS University of London. My research interests include cosmopolitanism, postcolonial feminism, the diasporic novel and its relationship to the nation-state, and sites of confluence for all of the above, including in visual art and film.

I am always open for writing commissions or collaboration opportunities. In the Writing tab, you can find all my portfolio links. I mainly write about visual art as well as general cultural criticism. I also have copywriting experience for social media and for luxury hotels and brands. I occasionally publish creative work, including essays and poetry.

I was the first writer-in-residence at Bayt al Mamzar in Dubai.
